Project Overview

Brimble was engaged to bring the resurfacing construction program back on schedule. With only a week’s notice, we mobilised teams and machines to a remote area in Queensland and began immediately to provide a consistent level of delivery. Multiple consists worked around the clock to accelerate the program, delivering 200km+ of new construction in less than 3 months.

This work included coordinating ballast stockpiling, train loading/unloading, resurfacing of all tracks to tight tolerances, survey and final WAX documentation. We worked around multiple train movements on a daily basis during the commissioning of the entire network, rolling stock and signalling systems. We completed this work while maintaining over 97% reliability across all consists in very remote locations and maintained zero LTI.
