Project Overview

Brimble was engaged to support the mainline installation of the critical dual gauge crossovers and turnouts that would now form the access to the new yard. This work was challenging, with the works being performed for PTA, but delivered on the ARC infrastructure network. The windows to install and complete track works were less than 12 hours, so strategic work processes and delivery methodologies were of the utmost importance to ensure the works would be delivered without impact to the very restrictive freight corridor.

Our teams provided specific methodologies and they proved successful. Some of our construction tamping windows were less than 2 hours prior to traffic which included high complexity/speed dual gauge crossovers and turnouts. Our team provided support around the clock and assisted other adjacent works with no safety incidents.
